As a leader do you often wonder where to get the advice you need?

Executive leaders require confidential and direct advice. My approach is to give you my views on this basis so that you can overcome the problems of finding the advice you need. By this I am referring to problems including:
- Internal advice can be closed minded and self interested;
- External can be one dimensional and limited to just the experts field not your business;
- Unsure who to ask;
- Simplistic;
- Couched to what you want to hear;

Implications of not solving the strategic advice problems
When you are unable to obtain the best advice when and how you need it you often end up with advice that is:
- Poor;
- Out of context;
- Impractical to implement;
- Not aligned with the values and culture of your organisation;
- Builds dependence;
- Undermines employees;
- Generates cynical views;
- Is one dimensional and does not give you options; and,
- Is not strategic.
